We're a franchise! Well, not really...but this just had to be mentioned...courtesy of The Temple of Mark:

We owe a great deal of gratitude to the communities that have come before us, most notably The Temple of St. Nick (devoted to Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran)...

A gentle reminder and polite request: for those who re-post Temple pix on other websites, please host them on your own server. Hotlinking the pix only takes up our bandwidth. Thanks!

From the "believe it when you see it" files:

In today's Mirror:

DURAN Duran are set to produce their own feature-length film.

We hear the band have signed a megabucks deal with an American company which plans to chart their 25-year history on the big screen.

An industry insider whispers: "Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor will all have cameos but they're casting for the main roles. Ben Affleck and Nicolas Cage are both big fans, so you never know."

Footage from the London dates of the band's forthcoming UK tour will be used in the film.

Are you ready for the 80s revival?

And Katy replies to a fan who wrote in about it: Right now the band are in talks with movie Producers but there is NO star names attached and nic cage and ben affleck would seem very doubtful.

From Ask Katy:

Hi Katy, This question is for any member of the band. When did you first realize you had achieved worldwide stardom (referencing the early years) and how did you feel about it, was it what you expected? Pamela

"I am not quite sure what “stardom” is…but when you write songs, every time you get through to someone new, it is a real achievement. We put out our first single in 1980 and it was a hit in several different countries, including the UK & Australia. Since those two countries are as far apart geographically as you can get in this world, we felt that something was really starting to happen. Having said that, here we are 25 years later still trying to achieve the same goals as we were at the beginning – to write songs that communicate with people wherever we can find them. Nick"
