DURAN Duran are in secret talks over their own multi-million dollar film.

The Girls On Film outfit will meet industry executives soon.

Keyboard player Nick Rhodes, 43, told me: "There's something very appealing about the idea.

"It's in the early stages of planning, but I'm sure it will be very funny."

Some actresses might appreciate a helping hand from their boyfriends when it comes to researching their next role, but not Meredith Ostrom (left).

The 25-year-old girlfriend of Duran Duran keyboard player Nick Rhodes is to play Andy Warhol's muse Nico in the upcoming movie Factory Girl - and tells me she's sick of Rhodes's advice.

"Nick used to know Andy Warhol and Nico so he keeps trying to give me tips which I just ignore," she told me at Tatler's Little Black Book party at Baglioni hotel on Wednesday night.

"I appreciate it, but I really want to nail the part myself. I have to do some singing and I've got Nico's voice down to a T."

Hi Katy! I was wondering, twenty years on from it's release, how do the guys view the album So Red The Rose? And is there anything that they would have like to have done differently on the album? Ellie

"We actually think SO RED THE ROSE has aged rather well. In fact, I was thinking of ripping it off just the other day….we are working to put together a 20th Anniversary re-issue (which may not hit the actual 20th Anniversary mark). There is only one unreleased Arcadia track, which is instrumental, and we have a feeling it will take a while to dig out from the vaults as it was never mixed and completed, but we would look to include it for completeness. Will keep you posted…NR"

Duran Duran National Convention. On the 19th of November in Italy there will be the third edition of the “Duran Duran National Convention”. It will take place in Pescara at the “Temple Bar Irish Pub” in Martiri Pennesi’s Square, about 100 metres from the railway’s station. It will start at 18:00 (6 p.m.) in the afternoon and will go on until late night. The program is the following:
-Video film scanning the career of duran through strange and rare videos;
-A show of rare records, photos and newspapers;
-A “Duran Art Gallery” with some drawings realized by amateurs and professional drawers;
-Collectors’stands of records; -Gadgets realized only for this special night;
-Presence of the Italian fanzines” Rio carnival fanzine” and “Family fanzine” and all the webmasters of the itlian sites.
-Interviews realized with Italian artists of the eighties talking about Duran Duran;
-Concerts of the italian tribute bands “Rio tribute band” and “Barbarellas”
-Closing the night with music selection of the Eighties
