HAPPY
THANKSGIVING to all the US Nickolites. No more updates are planned till next week.
Nick mentioned in the Independent on Sunday (24 Nov) in the article Rock and Pop: Is
there anyone out there who doesn't love Dolly?:
"This year's "Agenda Suicide"/ "Worked Up So Sexual" single [by
The Faint] gave a taster of next year's Danse Macabre album, and hinted at influences
beyond the usual Kraftwerk/ Numan/ League orthodoxy. Tonight's set sounds, in roughly
equal parts, like Duran Duran and Nine Inch Nails with a touch of Psychedelic Furs. The
visual clues are present and correct: lopsided fringes, angular shoulder-dancing (from
keyboardist Jacob Thiele) of which Nick Rhodes would be proud, and I'm sure one of
them is wearing a BauhausT-shirt."

"Mr. Blue Sky": From deepvisual on Obscurity
Vacation: the set list of Tuesday's gig: Memory Palaces, Signals in Smoke,

Random site of the day: what does your name say
about you? (Thanks, Joy!)
A new "club" on the London scene: it's called the Renaissance
Club. Meredith
was photographed at one of its events back in April.

Photos from the Harvey Nichols performance last night are on Dear Saint Nick.
(Thanks, Manon!) Pictures from the
"Die Another Day" premiere are there as well - go take a look!
In the future we'll post the pics from the various
news outlets on the messageboard, for those that have difficulty viewing them. Make a note
that Rex Features will no
longer allow you to download a larger photo even with the watermark unless you're a
registered user; all you'll be able to see are the thumbnails.
The next Picture of
the Week will be posted next Tuesday instead of Monday.

You can see the
photos from the store window gig here.
And from The Devil's website,
they say "sorry but no tickets available" for tomorrow's gig, but they do plan a
future performance open to the fans and this gig will be filmed, presumably for the DVD.
More photos have been added to the photo album.

The Devils played
a warm-up gig in Harvey Nichols' store window Friday morning. According to deepvisual at Obscurity
Vacation, they "...belted out a stunning version of big store, surrounded by
christmas decorations and mannekins." This will be on the multi-region DVD that
they're planning to release in the near future.

The Devils announced the winner
to the Barbarella's competition. Congratulations! And to win tickets to the launch party,
you have to answer this question correctly:
We all know this will be the first Devils performance; Stephen (along with John and
Simon Colley) did four shows together as the fledgling Duran Duran where? Madison
Square Garden; Sydney Opera House; Birmingham Polytechnic Art Foundation Course Lecture
Theatre, Fazely Street, Birmingham; or Cambridge Main Assembly Hall.
The contest ends November 13th and the winner will be announced the following day.
