New pics of Meredith at last night's premiere of The Banger Sisters in London here.

Want to know where the fans are? Globaldust.com lets you add your location for your favorite bands - like DD and The Devils.

Update from Monday: the Devils will not be appearing on the Music Planet 2nite show in Koln, due to Nick's studio obligations. (Thanks to Pink Disguise and American Science at LK/DD.com messageboards.)

The Devils and Gary Numan will be performing on Monday, February 17th at the Live Music Hall in Koln (Cologne), Germany at 7 p.m. for Music Planet 2nite, a show on Arte TV in Europe. Looks like you can buy tickets to attend. Any lucky European Nickolites want to send us some pics? (thanks to Manon at obscurity vacation)

OT, but interesting: Why the gossip rags are having such a hard time staying afloat: an article about "celebs and their boring minders" here.

Boxing Nick??
"Fans of Spandau Ballet will be alarmed to hear that lead singer Tony Hadley has agreed to appear in the next celebrity boxing match. He'll step into the ring with BBC political heavyweight John Pienaar next month, following Grant Bovey's bout with Ricky Gervais. Sources say a proposed fight between Nick Rhodes and Anna Ford was shelved at the planning stage." (BBCi)

An update on the Bulgari/NSPCC Jubilee Snow Ball that Nick and Meredith attended last month.

Be like Nick: where you can get clothes like his and buy prezzies like this.

A November party review that talks about Meredith's see-through number:
"...The most daring outfit of the evening, however, wasn't Meredith Ostrum's see-through dress by Maria Grachvogel - even though I'm sure boyfriend Nick Rhodes appreciated it..."

The Gay Times has an interview with the Devils. You can read it here. (thanks to sb666 at LK for the heads-up.) Stephen Duffy reports on his site that the shooting for their DVD is almost complete.

minDDilation has info about Duran's new management.

DD.com has new band pics up. MarkUK2 at LK posted lightened versions here. (Notice how his shirt logo mysteriously disappears...)

Scans of Nick and Meredith at the Tatler party back in November from the pages of Tatler magazine can be viewed on this board. (posted by Manderly9 at LK)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Manon wrote up some news bits about Nick and Riviera while the Temple was on holiday - you can read it here. And if you don't already have a subscription to the Dutch Go Duran fanzine, get one! They're going to celebrate their 15th anniversary with a compilation of all the interviews they've done with the band over the years, and Nick is a prolific writer - so expect a lot from him!

And not that The Sun is a good source of info, but they reported that the new Duran single (Taste of Summer) will be out in May, with a tour in August and the new album (Sunrise-Lazy Bedstar) to be released in September. Work that overtime now, pay off those Christmas bills, and get ready to hit the road for Road Trip 2003! **Oops, maybe I should've checked out Ask Katy before I put this up - according to her, the band have not yet chosen an album title. Wonder if the rest of the info is in the ballpark?

In the Daily Record on 2 January, Nick's name was mentioned with the Dandy Warhols:

"2002 was a year filled with many musical highs, including Ms Dynamite' s phenomenal critical acclaim, the triumphant return of dynamic duo McAlmont & Butler and stunning singer/ songwriter Norah Jones. Sadly, there were more than a few low points, such as the irritating as sand in your pants Las Ketchup summer anthem, Toploader's latest terrible recording and the chart success of The Cheeky Girls. Still, as the old saying goes, to appreciate the good you must first of all experience the bad. 2002 may well have been a year of mixed fortunes from the music world, but there are some truly tasty pop, rock and rnb morsels awaiting music lovers in the year ahead. Here' s just some of the treats on offer this year...

...DANDY WARHOLS. The first half of 2003 sees a welcome return for oddball rockers the Dandy Warhols. The as yet to be named album has attracted the production credentials of a merry band of muso-types including Russel Evelado (Jay- z, Alicia Keys), Tony Visconti (DavidBowie) and perhaps most bizarrely of all, the ever colourful Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran fame. Should be interesting. Recorded in sessions around the world including London, New York, Portland and Los Angeles, the Dandy Warhols latest album is rumoured to include appearances from Mr Rhodes and his bandmate Simon Le Bon as well as vocal delights courtesy of Debbie Harry."

And Nick was mentioned (yet again) as TPT's former flame in the Birthday column of the Birmingham Post on 23 December.
