Not so fast! After 3 months on the job, Miles
Copeland and the band part ways. On the bright side,
"Taste of Summer" is the first completed track on the
upcoming album. One step forward, three steps back....
RL intrudes on even the Priestess' lives so new additions to
the Temple are WAY behind. In the works: another article on
Julie Anne and Tat from the most lovely Manon at the Dutch
Go Duran fanzine, an audio/visual section, and maybe another
gem or two. Have any ideas for the Temple? Things you'd like
to see? Let us
know!

TV Mania: Warren plans to release some sneak previews of the
music on his site
this year.
Frenzied Silence posted some of Rhodie's stills of Nick
during Duran's performance in Russia last year over at
LK.
And of course you all know about the new shirts available
for purchase over at duranduran.com.
"[To the Shore] is actually one of my favorite
Duran Duran songs on the first album. I can only imagine
that some narrow minded executive with nothing better to do
other than squander the label's money on expensive lunches
must have had five minutes in between golf lessons and a
massage in which he suggested that the track be removed
[from the re-release]. Since the record later became
a success, it is more than likely that the person to blame
was promoted and probably runs a major corporation by now."
Nick's response to a fan's question at Ask
Katy.

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to
all!
"The Devils": sometime this month Nick and Stephen Duffy's
project will be mixed at Air Studios in London. Meanwhile,
the reunited Duran will finish up in the studio next
week.
Take a look over at Ask
Katy for Nick's
faves of 2001.
There's a new photo from the Gap ad shoot here
at LK (informal), and a 1999 Stephen Duffy article
link
was also posted there as well.
Something to look forward to in 2002: Duran's
regrouping warranted a mention in the Sunday
Times - scroll
