I had the great fortune to meet "The Saint" (a truely deserved title) Backstage in Charlotte, NC on 8/26/99 then again on the morning of 8/27 and the evening of 8/27. It was certainly a wonderful experience! I went up, and gave the bodyguard a borrowed camera (from a friend of mine, can you believe I forgot mine!) and then I went up to Nick and he said "Oh! You've got a tour program! Would you like me to sign that?" and I said "Yes! Please!" so he signed it. He looked soooo wonderful!! After he signed it, he said "Would you like a photo?" and I said "That would be wonderful!" and he put his arm out and said "Come on then!" So I scooted up real close to him :) And the bodyguard took our photo for me! I couldn't believe it!!! :)

He turned to walk away, and I said "Nick.." and he said "Yea?" and I said "You've got a Cat right?" and he said "Yea!" and I said "It's a Russian Blue, Right?" and he said "Yea!!" so I said "What's his name??" and he said "Yag.." and I said "Oh, Yag.." and he must have thought I said "Yak" or someting so he said "Yea Yag Y-A-G.." :) What a sweetheart!! So I said "Oh! That's great! I have a cat too! Her name is Yasmin..." and he kind of grinned, and I said "Go figure, Right?" and we both kind of laughed.. it was awesome!!! He truely is a Saint among Men!! *Sigh*!!!

Then, the next morning, Friday, I walked downstairs to smoke a cigarette (I was rooming at a hotel in town with two non-smokers) and as I was walking back to the elevators when who should walk out but the SAINT himself! My jaw nearly dropped! I said "Good Morning Nick!" (it was like 10:15 in the morning, can you believe he was UP that early!! *giggle*) and he said "Oh! Good Morning!" I said "We'll see you in Myrtle Beach tonight!" and he said "Ok! See you there!" WOW!

The THIRD time I was in the presence of greatness was at his hotel in Myrtle Beach after the show that Friday night... We went to the hotel and hung around for a few minutes, and were getting ready to leave, when HE pulled up! We walked up, and he was very sweet and gracious! He seemed tired.. but I heard he stayed up till 5am that night (and it was about 2:15 at the time..) I went up and said "Hey Nick! I was the one who told you 'Good Morning' this morning! I told you I'd see you again!" and he said "Indeed you did! How are you?" and I said "I'm doing good! The show was GREAT!" he said "Thanks!" and then I just kind of hung back because I didn't want to bother him! Guys, he is soooo sweet! And sooo adorable!!!! I was AMAZED!! (And THIS comming from a Simon fan! *LOL*) I was totally impressed with is graciousness and kind maner! If you EVER get the chance to meet this man... GO FOR IT!! It is WELL worth it!! :)
