*The first concert
at the Budokan
The Budokan was smaller than I've imagined. My seat
was in the 19th row (Andy's side), and I didn't
need to use my opera glass. Nick was wearing a black
jacket and red shirt. At first my eyes were fixed
on Nick, but gradually, I turned my eyes to Simon
who was moving about, and Andy who was playing the
guitar energetically, and the back screen which
projected the members and images that matched the
songs. Simon made a brief speech in Japanese two
or three times. It's funny to hear his speaking
Japanese. At first I couldn't understand what he
was saying, But I was impressed because I could
see he makes much of Japanese fans. Of all four
new songs I found "Sunrise" the best. A part of
the lyric was projected on the screen, so I could
sing that part with Simon. The stage effect was
fantastic, especially the lighting. But I wasn't
satisfied with the sound, which was too loud. I
think it's because a speaker was ill-located from
my seat. But I enjoyed the show.
*The second concert at the Budokan
This time my seat was in the 2nd row(John's side).
I could see the stage very well and the sound was
good. Instead, it's too close to enjoy the screen
and the lighting. I mainly riveted my eyes on Nick
in a frilled white shirt. But he was busy playing
the keyboard, he did not often lift his face toward
me and I didn't see his smile many times. Sometimes
John came to the edge of the stage ahead of me.
I waved my hands toward him with the people around.
He showed very cute smile. When "Wild Boys" began,
he hopped around with his legs closed and I also
hopped to his movement. Before "The Reflex", Simon
prepared a bucket. I thought there was water in
it. But when he threw the content, it was glittering
blue papers that came out.. At the beginning part
of "Girls on Film", Nick drank water in PET bottle.
I saw him drinking water at that time at the previous
show and a concert two years ago. I suppose he always
do it at this song. I was very happy to see these
two shows. I enjoyed them in different ways.
