Well...I was
in the 3rd row, right in front of the
Saint, at the 8/15/00 show in Cuyahoga
Falls, Ohio. I brought 2 albums with me
with the hopes that he would sign one of
them. I brought a 12" single that has
"Khanada" and Duran Duran's cover of David
Bowie's "Fame" on one side and "Careless
Memories" on the other. The cover is
white, lots of room to sign! Well, I went
to the stage several times during the
show, and Simon was not about to come
over. He didn't even come over for flowers
from other people. I really didn't want
anyone but Nick to sign it, so I
waited....and waited. I thought I would
never get my chance. At the very end of
the concert, I went to the front and he
was waving to the crowd and I handed him
my vinyl and a pen. He looked at my record
and at me and said "This is so old!" I was
soooooo excited I couldn't even contain
myself!! My record was the ONLY thing
signed by any of the band members that
night. It was truly a moment to cherish !
FOREVER!!!
