I met Nick at
the August 8, 2000 New Jersey show. Me and
my friend were lucky enough to get
backstage. It wasn't very crowded back
there (it was a tent set up with a bunch
of plastic tables and chairs) and at first
none of the guys were there yet.
Then Simon made an appearance.
I don't really want to meet Simon, so I didn't bother
going over there. I talked to some people I know
who were standing at the barricade. My sweet Nick
was near there signing things and talking to people
who didn't have backstage passes. Is he the sweetest,
or what?
Anyway, then me and Monica
decided to sit down at a table and chill, since
the guys were pretty much busy. Joey Joe, the drummer,
was near the table, so when he was done talking
we asked him to sit with us. He did. He is the GREATEST.
Funny, cute, easygoing. I could go on and on. If
I didn't only have eyes for Nick, Joe would definitely
be on my list. He was just FANTASTIC! Then Joe got up and left
and me and Monica were just looking around. I saw
Warren sitting at a table talking to this intriguing
looking guy in a cool suit and shoes. He dressed
a lot like Nick. Anyway, I told Monica I was gonna
go talk to them. I think she got up to go talk to
Nick at that point. I'm not sure.
So I walked up to Warren
and this guy and said,"Can I bust in on your conversation?"
Warren was like,"Bust in? Where is that from?" I
told him New Yawk. I'm really from Jersey but I
just love that New York accent. So anyway, Warren
talked a little bit. I was intrigued with his friend
though, so when Warren left I asked his friend if
I could sit next to him. We talked for a little
and of course my BIG MOUTH ended up insulting him.
For some reason we started talking about age and
I guessed he was 38. He said NO, I'm only 32. I
backpedaled and said, OH, but you look so sophisticated,
you just look older. DOH! He was very nice though.
I didn't have a backstage VIP pass and asked him
for his and he gave it to me. Thank you! Then he
got up to leave.
By that time, Nick was
the only one still out there, and only a handful
of fans were left. I hadn't yet talked to Nick and
I was at this table by myself, so I decided to go
over to him. He was sitting in this chair and his
back was to me. So I said,"WHAT THE HELL!"
I walked over to him,
put my hands on his shoulders and whispered in his
ear,"Nick, can I give you a massage"
Well, you should have
seen the look on his face. His head went back, he
looked back at me, and he had the FUNNIEST look
on his face. A cross between a smile and shock.
Didn't anyone ever offer to massage him before?
I'm afraid it must have looked like I said something
perverted to him with the look that was on his face.
Does anyone else remember this look?
So he said Yes! He seemed
very happy. So I massaged his shoulders, back, arms
and neck for what seemed like half an hour. I'm
not really sure BUT I WAS LOVING IT! It was the
greatest thing EVER! Of course, as I'm doing this,
everyone is coming up and getting their tour books
signed etc, and I FORGOT TO BUY ONE! I asked Nick
if he didn't have one and of course he didn't. I
had no camera, nothing to sign. Thank GOD Viper
got a pic for me. Thanks Val!
It was so funny if you
can picture the scene. There is Nick sitting in
this chair. Various women are around him seated
and standing. I'm behind him massaging him. The
scene occurred to me and I said to Nick, It's good
to be a rock star, isn't it. He smiled and said
Yeah!
In the middle of the massage
I asked Nick if he would give me a kiss. He obliged.
Later he asked if he could hire me. HIRE ME! I'd
gladly do it for FREE every night. LOL. Then unfortunately,
Dave told Nick it was time to go. Nick got up and
kissed me again, YAAY!, and left.
His skin was so creamy
and supple, I remember mouthing to Val that it was
like a baby's behind. AND, even though his clothes
were all sweaty and gross from the concert, he did
NOT smell at ALL! Nick, how do you do it?
And that was my AWESOME
Nick encounter. Ahhhh, life is complete. LOL
