Well actually
back in june 86 (or was it may) well
anyway....i went to see the premiere
opening of View to a Kill in leicester
square london....because duran duran were
going to attend it too. so my friend and i
went early in the morning and stood
outside the cinema all day till abut 7pm
which is when the guests were supposed to
arrive......the whole street was totally
packed with duranies and i thanked god
that i had the good sense to go extra
early so i was right at the front of the
barricades very happily being
squashed......Anyway slowly but surely the
band arrived and i was dying to see nick
rhodes (my baby forever) when the boys
started arriving girls were screaming left
right and centre....suddenly from behind
me i heard "NICK----YOU SEXY BUGGER I LOVE
YOU" i was like oh my god cos she shouted
so loud that her voice literally echoed
all over......nick did hear that and
happened to lookover my way...i got all
embarassed cos he might think i was weird
or so! mething...and i was trying to look
the innocent and butter wouldnt melt in my
mouth kind of person and i was tryingto
make a good impression on him (not that he
could have been bothered anyway).....so i
quickly ducked......so much for spending
the previous day shaving legs.........and
removing other unwanted hair
etc.......trying to look like a model from
a top fashion magazine......i stayed up
the previous night to do all that and i
bunked off schoool that day at my little
age of 15...he never even saw
me.....:(.....but i will never forget that
time....it was so so special for
me.......the band really got me through a
strenuous time since 1981 and i can never
forget them for that reason...Nick was
always my fav though because he understood
the need for wearing make up and he gave
me a reason for wearing it....he had such
an artistic way that i have not to this
day been able to do. well i love you nick
and i love the original and the new line
up. Love forever to all of you. ! You
deserve a hell of a lot more credit than
what is being given.
