Who Is She? - by Mark Bucciarelli

When did she arrive?

Where is she from?

Sun drenched piazza in the early morn

she strolls through the arcades for all those to adorn

The educator, breadman, and poet see it in her light blue eyes

her compassion for others under sunny Tuscan skies

The Florentine artists all vied for her pose

and one was rewarded - so red the rose

She greets a young boy with a delicate kiss and a flower

her smile so bright it chases away any chance April showers

Inside the Renaissance master sighs as he renders her angelic face

a sense of rapture that defines time and space

The subject’s heavenly form and stature is captured by the painter’s brush

only to be witnessed centuries later by masses in an assembled hush

PEACOCK FEATHERS - Chele

Pure pale sweetness

falls soft as a feather
soundless as night air
I breathe it in deeply
Delicate flower displaying your petals
your beauty astounds me
I breathe in your scent
Haunted and captive

I languish serenely
Until I lie dying
Breathe life into me

PARADISE ILLEGAL - by Nick LaPoint

You make me believe,
You make me happy again
You make me love

Strange patterns
cast upon divine desire
as the light of the moon
glistens on your skin

And they're pushing us further
down this long pass a way
but we're holding tight
to the city and the keys of
Atlantis

From Athen's to Rome to Egypt
our temples lay in ruins
as crimson and black tapestries
gently flow behind ancient columns
in the heavily scented air

My Beloved Queen -

Come, come down

How can I love another
while my heart is entirely your own?

Velvet Underwear - by Amy Carter

The sone which nods my head, words that can only sing.
voices beautifully lost,
in the deep dark spring.
Rain trickles down my face,
as your love stings my ear,
In the storm I reached out,
but only in fear.
I creeped in your shadows,
rained on your face.
Hot tears that stung your eyes
black tears that smear my face.
Silence is forbidden
whispers are too loud
me beneathe the shadows
you above the clouds.
In a silver starry sky
you danced above my hair.
as I ran around naked
in a pair of velvet underwear.

The Haunted - by Becca Furubotten

The day is new,
The light through the window illuminates the room.
As the day goes on I am empty .
My soul is lost and my heart is lonely.
The people on the street seem as they are moving in circles
and the day is slow.

When will we meet?

When will our souls touch?

I ask myself are you real?

I search and I look only to find nothing..

I feel the sudden need to sleep..

But I can't..
so I search again...
but what am I trying to find?

I walk,
I think,
I try to remember..
but  nothing..
why is my heart so heavy?

I feel the wind upon my skin,
it's warm...
Then it cools.

Was that you?

Why do you haunt me?
Who are you?

I walk the sirens howl in such urgency
I hear laughter and screams

I sit.
I ponder.
Off in the distance I see a flash of white..
It fades.

Was that you?

The sun is  nowsinking into the sea..
I hear the waves crash upon the rocks,
the tides roll in as if their trying to speak..
What are they saying?
What does this mean?

My mind is wondering,
As  I listen I hear a voice..
I look  nothing.

Was that you?

The children run
And through the mist laughter fills the air...
Then silence.

The wind begins to blow
And the waves crash as if they are angry
And clouds fill the empty space in the sky
And darkness falls.

I am frightened,
Why?
Where are you?
Where is my comfort?

I pull the shades and turn the light
I sleep.
You come to me.
I feel your skin, your scent fills the room..
you speak..we talk,
we laugh,  we dream ,
we touch  and we love.

My soul is no longer empty..
My heart is abounding in joy.
You cry..
Why?

We kiss I feel your rage.
Why are you angry?

The light illuminates the room..
I feel the sun on my back.
I wake.
Your scent lingers..

Where are you?
Why did you leave?
Why is my soul lost again?
I walk out side,
I search only to find nothing..
The rain begins to fall..
I look up,
I feel the drops on my face..

Was that you?

Chameleon - by Anna Testerman

Like a rainbow
Unlike the others
He shows himself
In many colors.

He changes like the seasons,
Without any reasons.

He watches us stare,
But with a glare.

His many colors
Put us in a trance,
You can't just glance.

Why do we wonder?
Why do we ponder?

He's got style
You can see it
In his smile!!!!

CHERRY ICE CREAM SMILE - by Nora Abad Varona

Wow!

Cherry ice cream smile
sink me in the green ocean
of your eyes.

Let me know you breath after breath
over and over again,
caressing your body
to capture your soul.

Let me hear your sexy voice
and lost self control,
let the facts speak louder than words,
your heart beat next to mine
our lips sealed
in a divine, divine way
while time running away to the shore.

So great it could be,
so great fantasy you and me
and then I wake up
and the cherry ice cream smile's gone.

Whoops! The seducer's out of time.

ANGEL OR DEVIL - by Nora Abad Varona

So soon
I could hardly open my eyes
You look so good
So many thoughts, dreams in my mind
no words to explain.
Should you leave,
I'd feel so alone again
like beginning from nowhere.
And wasting this brand new feeling
feels like hell
Heaven is your arms
like angel's is your face, your smile.
Green pupils of mine
so mine they seem to me
only by looking at you
starts the day,
only by your velvety voice
I recognize my name.
Are you angel or devil?
