STAYING
POWER: Unlike the dozens of new pop acts that dissolved in the past
decade, Duran Duran has remained intact. "The entire music industry
has changed its face several times since we came out in 1980,"
says keyboardist NICK RHODES, whose band's new album is called
Big Thing! "There's nobody left from that time. Suddenly you
realize you're on your own. It's like being the last person at the
party. You turn around and everyone has left. It's strange but it's
all right. We just found a drink cabinet that nobody knew was there."
