According to the history of the Charles Fremont Ross Family by Nora
Tool Ross, the farm in Jasper County was located 3.5 miles SE of Reasoner.
Eliza Shankland Ross Davis lived there after the death of both her
husbands; then it was bought by her son Charles Ross and she stayed
there till her death. Charles Ross lived on the farm until his health
failed in 1930 and he then lived with his sons Frank and Zell near
Iowa City until his death in 1931. He sold the farm to his daughter
Ruth and her husband, John Van Voorst, and they later sold it to Bud
Breene.
