Rites Slated Sunday at Bowbells

N.D. - Funeral services for William Howard Glaspey, 69, Bowbells auctioneer
who had cried over 1,200 sales, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Methodist church. The Rev. George Bauer, of Kenmare, will officiate. Burial will be in the Bowbells cemetery. The Olson funeral home of Kenmare has charge of the arrangements. Glaspey, who died in a hospital in Minot last Tuesday, is survived by his wife and five children. In addition to his children named in a previous report of his death, he left six brothers and four sisters. They are: John of Clear Lake, Ia.; Francis, Hills, Ia.; Burt, North Liberty, Ia.; Warren, Okmulgee, Okla.; Wallace, Hills, Ia.; Richard at Lignite, N.D.; Mrs. Mary Gody, Clarinda, Ia.; Mrs. Ellen Bywater, Lignite; Mrs. Tina Baird, Los Angeles, Cal.; and Mrs. Carrie Sweet, Harvard, Ill. Glaspey homesteaded in Carter township, Burke county, in 1900, and lived there until 1916. That year he moved to Frobisher, Sask., where he operated a farm until 1941. Then he returned to Bowbells.
